1. Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma is a Bollywood actress renowned for her acting abilities. Known for roles such as those seen in PK and Sultan movies, the actress actively supports several social causes including educational equality for children as well as gender equality. Furthermore, Anushka is widely-followed on social media due to her impressive fashion sense and unique sense of style.
Anushka Kohli, wife of Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, is in the midst of a fiercely-competitive IPL season with her charisma and charm on display, sure to make things entertaining for viewers.
Once upon a time, WAGs (wife/partner of high-profile sportspeople) were only seen when their partners played in major matches. Over time however, more women have joined this prestigious category and have become prominent figures themselves; many even participate in charitable work outside of sport!
Whilst their husbands work tirelessly on the field, wives and girlfriends of cricketers ensure they have everything necessary for an upcoming match. Their stunning WAGS are often seen cheering on their favorite teams and raising the temperature in stadiums; giving this sport an additional glamorous and seductive image.
Current WAGS have made an enormous contribution to how cricket is played, becoming iconic figures with their iconic images and talent on screen. Furthermore, they have proven extremely active on social media establishing themselves as strong brands within their fields of endeavour.
Wives of cricketers (WAGS) have grown increasingly popular, yet not everyone understands their roles. Sometimes they face online abuse from fans who do not approve of their choices, prompting trolls. Therefore it is crucial that WAGs remain strong and do not allow the harassment get to them; many have their own supporters who help defend their honor and fight back when needed.
2. Sakshi Dhoni
The International Cricket Council World Cup 2019 is here and fans around the globe are consumed by it, but another side to its story – wives and girlfriends of high-profile cricketers known as WAGs (Wives and Girlfriends of Prominent Sportspersons) have become an easy target of trolls on social media, even though these glamorous women cannot be held responsible for what their husbands do on the field.
Sakshi Dhoni, wife of Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and widely followed on social media, can often be found cheering her husband at various matches. A native of Dehradun, Sakshi married Dhoni on 4 July 2010. Together they have a daughter named Ziva Dhoni. Additionally, Sakshi writes and produces films under her production house. Sakshi enjoys traveling – acting, modelling and travelling being two of her primary focuses – having been seen at various international destinations with both her family (which includes her daughter) and husband on his international tours. In addition, she plays on India Womens Cricket Team.
Sakshi may not play cricket herself, but she serves as a key support system for her husband and is an inspiration to young girls pursuing their goals.
JioCinema and the Indian Premier League have joined forces to promote JioCinema as a digital streaming service. IPL is one of India’s most-watched sporting events and there are 800 million smartphones with access to digital media; therefore it is essential that IPL content reaches as many viewers as possible through platforms with broad reach that offer free content – thus JioCinema’s TATA IPL campaign featuring cricketers MS Dhoni and Suryakumar Yadav will help generate excitement about watching IPL on digital platforms while simultaneously reminding users that entire series will be available free on JioCinema!
3. Shilpa Shetty
WAGs (wifes and girlfriends of high-profile sportspeople, especially cricketers) are popularly referred to as WAGS; these individuals often garner media coverage due to their relationship with a cricketer but may also become known for charitable efforts or professional ventures of their own. Notable examples of modern WAGs include Candice Warner (wife of David Warner), Dani Willis (wife of Steve Smith) and Roz Kelly (wife of South African cricketer Morne Morkel).
Shilpa Shetty has enjoyed an esteemed career in Bollywood, appearing in films such as Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Rishtey and appearing as a judge for Indian versions of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Zara Nachke Dikha reality television shows. Additionally, in 2006 she made waves globally when she won Celebrity Big Brother UK and created headlines regarding allegations of racist comments made against her by some housemates on the show.
In 2009, she married businessman Raj Kundra and became part of the Rajasthan Royals cricket franchise ownership group. Since then she has made various small screen appearances while simultaneously engaging in social activism around feminism and animal rights campaigns.
As the WAG culture continues to flourish, more celebrities are choosing to show their support by attending cricket matches with their WAGs in tow. This trend represents a distinct departure from previous generations of cricketers where wives and girlfriends were rarely seen at stadiums; some fans however are critical of WAGs for interfering in games by attending matches while also devoting time in supporting their cricketer(s).
JioCinema has seen impressive streaming record breaks during this year’s IPL, setting new streaming records with peak concurrency and unique viewers; more than 12 crore people watched Monday’s final match alone! This provides brands such as sanitary pads and budget handsets an ideal opportunity to reach a wide audience during an important part of the year for them.
4. Shraddha Kapoor
Indian cricketers may enjoy deity status in India, but their WAGs have quickly emerged as independent women with distinct identities of their own. Shraddha Kapoor, wife of India ODI captain Virat Kohli, is an example of such an individual; she has established herself as an actress in Bollywood films such as Stree, PK and Aashiqui 2 as one of India’s highest-paid actresses and has amassed an incredible following with over 107 million followers on Instagram alone! A former hotel management student she has made herself known for being versatile actors who has also performed songs and launched her own clothing lines!
Couples like Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly now regularly attend matches of their respective teams together, beaming with pride as they cheer for their partners – quite different from years past when these support roles weren’t so visible at stadium matches. Partially due to cricket becoming more mainstream sport overall, and more WAGs making frequent appearances at stadium matches – cricket’s increased acceptance makes such support easier to come by than ever.
Wag culture in both cricket and Bollywood has allowed players to spend more time at home with their families instead of traveling frequently to international matches, thus helping reduce injuries sustained during travel, leading to greater chances of selection into national teams. This development can only benefit cricket and Bollywood as players spend more time enjoying family time at home rather than travelling constantly for international fixtures – this development should prove positive for sport overall!
As such, many cricketers have turned to social media in recent years to connect with their fans and engage in friendly banter with them. Unfortunately, however, some cricketers do not welcome online trolls that criticise their on-field performances and come for them personally via comments sections and fan pages. Many cricketers enlist their wives/WAGs as allies against these online trolls, taking direct action against critics by publically calling out critics themselves.
