Middletown Police Investigate Theft of Puppy from Pet Shop

Middletown, NJ – On Could 19, 2022 at approximately 1:15p.m., Middletown Twp. Law enforcement responded to The Pet Shop, positioned at 1284 State Route 35, for a report of a dog being stolen from the retail store.  The owner documented that a youthful black male arrived into the keep and questioned if the keep experienced any cockapoo or goldendoodle puppies for sale.  The suspect then began to engage in with a cockapoo pup, a 10-week-previous feminine with brown fur, that was accessible for acquire.  Within just moments, the topic picked up the pup and ran from the retailer.  The suspect ran to an adjacent parking whole lot and bought into a little black SUV, potentially a Nissan Rouge, with the partial New Jersey license plate of “X58.”  

The suspect is described as a young, black male sporting a blue surgical mask, ripped black denims, orange Crocs, and a black sweatshirt.  The sweatshirt had the phrases “Key Street” on the sleeves in white lettering.
